 Topic: 7010 hydraulic line under cab HELP

Ok my friend has found the leak on the 7010. Its the hydraulic line that runs from underneath (the hydro pump) up to the valves under the back of the cab. There are two lines that i can see that run from the pump, its the top line. It runs up behind the tank on the rt. side of the tractor up and goes almost straight in to the valve control unit. Its a bigger line that was held in place with a clamp, it got to rubbing on the clamp and wore a hole in the line. My question is do you have to remove the cab to replace the line? We cannot find any covers in the floor of the cab that allows access. The bottom of the line we can get to but how do you remove the top of the line and weave it out and put a new one in? Looking on the Agco site I believe its the #7 HOSE, pump tube to draft control valve tube

You can be assured that the cab was off when that line was assembled in West Allis. Get the small fuel tank and its rear bracket completely removed from the tractor. You'll have to probably cut a wrench in two and heat/bend a second wrench to complete the task. Its been done many hundreds of times over the years and no one has ever removed a cab to do it. Be sure everything is T-I-G-H-T when you get done.

If it is #7 in the parts book, that is the hose portion, as the Doc said take the right side tank off, and you will see the connection between the line and the hose. This hose is fairly easy to replace, if you really are referring to the upper portion of the line #3 in the picture, it is just like the Doc said, not fun but doable.

Ok I looked at the diagram again and it is not #7 but #3. The hole is right there under the clamp labeled G. So I really just need to replace that steel section #3 TUBE ASY., hose to D.C valve

Make sure everything is tight when you're done and that you get the rubber clamp around that tube so it doesn't rub a hole in it again.

I know you asked Doc, but yes it can, we have done it, but you have to have a custom fitting crimped on one end at the hydraulic valve stack.

One of ours did the same thing, just left in place and tied a rubber line beside it except where it was difficult to place and then we just got close , it was fast, and has lasted years.
