Sam T.

The Water Pump in my 655 Parts Manual shows Part Number 4029130-4 - Pump ASSY. (Water).

Shaft and Bearing has no part number so am assuming AC did not intend service for those parts.

Checked HD4 Service Manual and it does show service for the bearing and shaft.

What is wrong with your pump, (leaks)?    Also, note that the aluminum pipe mounted to the water pump can and will suffer from galvanic/carbon black corrosion where the inlet hose attaches.

Maybe someone could check their 180 parts manual for the water pump parts number.

Why AC chose not to machine that part out of steel - guess we will never know.

The design relating to the flow of coolant from the water pump to the radiator could be improved.

Wish I could be of more help!

I replaced my h4 water pump with one for a 190. Same pump except it has a gasket but no o-ring. Apparently the 190 and the 2200 engines are a lot a like in parts.

I have a place locally where the fellow really does a good job looking up parts or my h4. I needed a fuel pump and he told me had 3 on the shelf. what a surprise then he told me that a lot of parts are the same on the 190. he has the microfilm parts sheets and apparently they show the cross reference.
