I have been working on my dozer and I am trying to understand the operations of how everything work. I am loosing mass amounts of transmission fluid out of the torque housing. What might be causing this problem. Any help would be great!

I crawled under it and saw the fluid at the bottom of the transmission/torque converter housing. I don't quite know how to go about checking it...........but I am trying to learn. I don't have pressure guages yet...............but I will get some soon. Thank you all. I will do my best to keep you informed how its going.

check the dip stick for the tranny for overfull. also there are lines for the cooler and return lines back into the torque housing on the side. the sump line is also located on the left side of torque tube as sitting in the seat. belly pans will need to be pulled of if not already done. you will need to clean the bottom good and start it ( make sure it is blocked against motion first ) and see where it is leaking. could just be a ruptured line. i hope that is all.

dexron fluid coming out of the torque tube housing and the transmission at the bottom of the splitline of the two cases. I am sure I am going to have to pull the torque converter housing and engine to find the leak internally. I am frustrated...............but I want to see her back on her feet and doing her job. Thanks for any input from all of you. Thanks a million!!!!!
