this is a page that I constructed by cutting and pasting gears and shafts from
several pages of the parts book. I never did find the exact page with the
shuttle clutch intermediate shaft and gears. This part is how I think
it should work. Everything else is right out of the parts book.

I wondered how shuttle clutches worked.  Once you see the concept (and wrap your brain around it) it is fairly simple really!

This is from the 615 Service Manual.
 
 
The 615 is based on a D15 Chassis.

Thank you Dean.  That is the set up I remember from the D-14 shuttle clutch - just smaller.
