The cable to the injection pump kills it. The key just turns the electric power off. Because it doesn't have an electric selinoid on the pump. Just like a 180/190

I recently bought an Allis Chalmers 6140 that didn't have an ignition switch. I bought a replacement and trying to figure out how to wire it up. I got the glow plugs wired to the temporary on contact you get when you turn the key counter clockwise. I got my power and starter solenoid wired up. There was a large white wire and small white/blue wire going to the alternator. I wired them to the contact that is on with the switch in the on position so that the battery isn't connected to them when the switch is off.
Now my question... Is there supposed to be a way to turn the tractor off with the key? It keeps running even if I cut it off. I have a throttle cable coming off what looks like the injector pump that I can kill the engine with but I'm not sure if there is a way to do it from the switch. Thanks for any pointers.
