If you need one, you just gotta pay the price.  The engine is not much good without one.  Don't know if you can get brand new and also don't know why you would want brand new.  Lots of old F2 diesels out there, you should be able to find a good used one.  Some places sell them already checked and ground.

I wouldn't put a reground crank in any diesel engine. But that's me....... and our local independent repair shop too and the AC dealer I worked at years ago. The grind has to be absolutely done right and in my opinion it's not worth risking putting in inspection windows in your block.

Yes going to need one, has the crank support on front of engine but previous owner never owned a grease gun, bought it this way and decided to go through tractor front to back. I saw I could get reconditioned ones, just got thinking what a new one would be, the thrust is gone and a couple teeth were broke on balancer gear

What's the problem with yours? Thrust shot? Our 185s was, automotive machine works in Eau Claire Wi had it welded up reground and re nitrited. Been running twice the factory horse power through it and no problems for years.

Thrust is chewed to hell and has e few broken teeth on balance gear, called local dealer a new one is $2850.00
