I'm looking at some 6080 2wd tractors and was curious as to how well they would handle a 6 row 30" no-till planter with liquid fertilizer. It will be either a john deere or kinze planter.  I'm currently on 4 row 36" and pull with a 170 diesel, but it's time to switch to narrow rows and was thinking that would be a good combination.  Thanks in advance.

We used a 6080 on a 6 row 30 in. with a 5 row splitter (11-15in.) for several years..You shouldn't have any problem. You"ll enjoy the platform on the 6080 vs. the hump on the 170.

If your buying a 6080, a FWA would be a good choice. may not think you'll need it for planting, but once you get it you'll wonder how you lived without it. Not sure how much difference there is in price, but may be worth a look. JMHO!

170 would pull it if needed.

Just remember that Larry Swenson has written that most 6080's came out of the factory dynoing 100 hp or more.
