I have a 6060 that yesterday all of a sudden would not move. Seems to go into gear both high and low and all gears. Any thing I should take a quick look at that might be a simple fix that I am overlooking.

Like it has since I have owned it. There is not much travel down below though. It seems like it does not have much resistance

So it goes into all gears with no grinding at all??? Are you sure the main transmission is really going into gear?

I'm going to say the range lever (high-low) is in neutral.

So the high lo seems to be going into gear, is there a way to tell if it is stuck in neutral

If the differential pin has fallen out, a quick test would be set the parking brake really tight. Try to move the tractor then. If it kills the engine, the differential area is the problem and quit trying to make it move!! to save on the damage.

Does it have pto ? From my limited experience the diff pin typically takes the pto with it when it backs out.

That’s a issue I haven’t heard before, pin out of the pinion. Hope it’s not that. I would have guessed hi/lo in neutral also.

Tried setting the e-break and it did not kill the tractor. While it was started, I could shift the tractor with not having the clutch pushed. Pto engages

Problem is then clutch or transmission input issues.

With the engine running and the range lever in gear (low or high I don't care) foot OFF the clutch, you should feel gears grinding when trying to shift into 1 or 2 (non-synchro) and you should NOT be able to get the lever into 3rd or 4th. If you can, the input shaft must not be turning. Are you sure your clutch pedal is released?? The pedal should come up probably 6 plus inches from bottom with your foot off the pedal.

Last night I started the tractor to see if I could kill with the e-brake and it would not. I then thought I would see if I could change gears without pushing in on the clutch. I could move through all gears and hi/low with out anything happening or grinding. It is like if the clutch pedal is pushed down and doesn't release. When I go under the cab though, the clutch cable moves the arm that goes into the clutch.

And the clutch pedal foot pad moves a total of at least 6 inches or more top to bottom ?? And the resistance/effort required to depress down on the pedal is the same as it always has been ?????????

Yes, that is correct. The only thing that seems odd is the amount of travel down below. Doesnt seem like a lot by I also now it does not take much travel to engage or disengage the clutch.
