I've been into working on numerous 6000 series tractors over the years. On mine and customers, if they have initials, and the date of mfg scratched in the front of the valve cover they seem to be higher horse power. They also seem to run better. Can anyone identify who's initialed these from the factory. Was it the guy running the dyno

Everyone I've been into that has the initials is a factory horse. The other without the markings run good but not as good as the ones with markings.
I thought maybe an A-C dyno operater fine tuned the ones he tested and then dated and initialed

Interesting. Any noticeable changes like injection pump timing, boost pressure increase, injector nozzle size, turbo brand, etc...???

My grandpas 6060 has initials on the valve cover and a date. It is an early one I think serial number 1079. We always thought it pulled really well. I can’t remember the initials right now.

Back when I worked at the Allis dealer (I was there 4 years total) I saw at least two initialed valve covers. I think one was a 200 and maybe a 180. There might have been a 7000 series in the mix too.
