John Sealey's post from a few days ago reminded me that I had seen a Service Bulletin on using the older 50 series plows on D series tractors. He asked me to dig it up for him, and I thought others might be interested in seeing it as well. Bear in mind that although the bulletin only mentions the D14, there were no other D series tractors in April of 1957, so this may apply to other models as well. |

Much like the SC blade designed for the WD/WD-45.
I have one blade where someone actually notched out a small amount with a torch, so the tongue would not hit the drawbar hanger bolt heads on a D15II.
The hangers can simply be unbolted but I run one of my other SC blades on the 15II, just don't slam it up against the hanger brackets, where the implement contacts the bolt head.
Will it still clear without contacting the body of the rear end after removing the hanger brackets?
Not sure, but I will check to see now as this has me to thinking.
Thanks for the info.

I had converted a 53 pin hitch plow to snap couple for the CA. I had the hitch as short as I could go with it. When I hooked it to the D14 the hitch was hitting the PTO shaft.
I removed the snap ring and set it out the the last bolt holes, and it cleared fine. A longer lift arm would have worked also. LOL Bob
