there is a gap between the top and bottom part of the 5020 right front axle(the part were the little stub shaft u joint is) on the top there is a jam nut and a threaded bolt that can be tightened to close the gap. this keeps coming loose and opening the gap. regardless of how tight the jam nut is, it still works loose. any idea's why?

I talked to a fella who was an allis dealer, he said the thinks they put a shim or retainer clip of some king on the top above the bearings, he said there was a recall on them?
