I understand Doug, I'm always off during Christmas anyway, and my pay carries until New Years, so it won't really hit until the first for me. I don't have to worry about the SS people for a good while, I just turned 56 last month!

Joe I retired 3 years ago and love it. Some health problems but better than fighting them while working 50-60 hours a week. Wife retied 2 weeks ago and we went to Branson for a full week and didn't kill each other. After healing from a toe amp. I used the shop to weld up some carts to store tables at church, fixed up a mower for a friend, joined church choir after a 5 year absence and I am mentoring an 11 year old student at a local school. We are taking 2 weeks in Feb. To go to Seattle to see one daughter then on to Denver to see the other one. WHEW!! If I stay healthty I will retire myself to death ! Enjoy and stay active and healthy.

Retired almost 3 y;ears ago, love it. You just need something to keep busy at, it you have that you will be fine. If ACs will not keep you busy find something more. That's the thing, not too much sitting on the A&&. Congratulations!  Tom

I retired ,on paper, 14 years ago. Tried sitting around for a month and thought I was going crazy. The "WAR DEPARTMENT " aka, "WIFE" was on my case every day. She hates my love of AC tractors, my dog, my grandkids , friends ,AC equipment and going to the tractors shows etc. So I got a part time job and it turned into a full time job. It lasted for 4 years . Started helping a farmer friend next and been doing that for 10 years now. I also bought a small Freightliner truck and 40 ft. gooseneck trailer and I do some hauling in between farming. Still go to the tractor show (without the (WAR DEPARTMENT) which is not all that bad. Enjoy the grandkids and still keep buying AC tractors and stuff. As they say ,"what ever trips your trigger" ENJOY YOUR RETIREMENT THE WAY YOU WANT. GOD BLESS , Rodney
