I have a 8050 that the motor is shot. I bought an l2 with a 3500 in it and was going to put that in. Besides the front and rear plate what else would have to be changed? I was going to switch the exhaust manifold and the inner cooler so everything would line up for the hood. I would guess oil pan and pump to? Thanks for any help.

Later 3500's and 3500 MK II had crank driven oil pumps and a deeper pan like the newer engines. May have to change the waterpump for the intercooler depending on how old the 3500 is.

Put one in a 7030 and just finished one in a 7060. Both were later s/n engines.
I welded brackets for the front engine mounts and kept the combine plate. Water pump had to be swapped out on 7060, along with intake for intercooler. Pans clear on both tractors, make sure your front axle pivot is in good shape. Injection pumps on both were key to shut off, one wire to switch, really easy. Pretty straight-forward! Good luck!
