Jay, they are few and far between out here. Nobody used plows here afterthe thirties and all the soil blew away. "Minimum till" has been a fact of farming life on the high prairies since farmers saw their land disappear in the thirties, especially in 1936 as it was exceptionally dry and had been for 7 years. Shipping is what shipping is, if you have a plow for sale, let me know, TREV.

Are you in for Sunday afternoon drives? Go over to Churchbridge and take the road north out of town about 20 minutes to a dot on the map called Calder. We were there 8-10 years ago and while we were waiting on the owner of the tracotr we bought to get there we were invited to some friendly folks place for ice cream and they had a WD and 3X plow one sitting in a shed and so did their next door neighbors. I could have bought either one for very little money.  If I had any contact info I would be glad to share it but it all has been lost,  they were on the west edge of town.  I can also understand you just want something and dont care what it costs,, been there myself.

Truth be told, I dont know much about plows, we never used them. I have a WD with snap coupler, and am looking for an appropriate 3 bottom, I guess a 3-14. I have 40 acres of sod to break, been in grass at least 30 years, am going to crop it next spring. I looked in Norm Swinfords book and have been searching the internet. As long as it works behind the WD and is snap coupler, and I guess I would want one that the shares are good or can still be bought somewhere. I also want it because it would be COOL...I guess I also want it because I am an Allis freak and deeply disturbed...Trev.

I've got one for my WD that I still use occasionally. Unfortunately, it's not for sale. But, my neighbor and fellow Allis collector has a couple of them. I'll check and see if he is interested in letting one go.  I'll be at his place tomorrow working on his WC.

I agree Bob.   Trevman, there are people who haul old tractors from Sask to the midwest to sell to us. They need something on the load back... Maybe you could find one who hauls tractors down and have them bring you back a 2-3 bottom snap coupler plow from Iowa or IL where there are quite a few of them for around 200-300 US dollars. There is a guy in Clermont, Iowa named Mike who hauls tractors from Canada to sell down in Iowa. I bought an old cockshutt parts tractor from him. It came from Sask.
It is great being a disciple of Jesus! 1950 WD, 1957 D17...retired in Iowa,
