Are the 6000 series and the later 170/175 axles the same or do they just look very similar?

6080 has heavy duty front end others have same front as 175. We put a 6080 front on 175 after tierod failure while hauling a 2000 lb round bale. I had to make a set of bushings because 175 had smaller diameter pivot pin.

Someone suggested to me to put a pedestal and nf off of a D19 on the front of my 6080.

I had posted earlier that I wanted to make our 6080 4wd into a narrow front puller. And they said to use the D19 front pedestal and fab it to the 6080 frame rails. Or if you could find a 100 series pedestal and nf might work also. I am going to put a D17 wide front under ours because they wont let a nf front pull in the 6500 lb and over class.
