I wonder what they came off of? Usually 28" spokes are from a Farmall but these don't have enough spokes for that.

The rim portion also seems very "shallow" at the bead area from the standard spoked rim. I have the same question Lonnie has as to what they came off of. I can't even picture being able to mount tires on those wheels.

I can't tell for sure from the picture but it looks like the rims are welded on to the spokes. I don't think they are the original rims for the spokes and centers. It don't look like they would be any good for mounting tires on.

I remember seeing wheels like that with almost flat type rubber tires on them. The original center is gone, and a regular wheel welded in its place. The flat type rubber tires that I remember were only about 2 1/2 to 3" high and about 5" wide. They were solid tires, no inner tube. Don't remember what they were on though.

Ted, I blew the picture up and it looks like the spokes are riveted in the hub like the F&H spoked wheels.

Yeah, it does look that way. Kinda hard to tell but I think so too. Would still bet on the flat type tire though.

I inquired through e-mail if there were any casting marks or numbers on them. The owner replied that there were not any that he could see.
I think they are front steerable wheels off of a manure spreader. The bolt pattern is what's baffleing me! I can't come up with a tractor that they would fit.

Pre-WW2 A-C tractors on steel wheels...because I'm too cheap to buy tires!
