No-Tilled corn for the first time this year. Would like to apply 28% for the first time. My elevator has only 12 row applicators. Will my 200 be able to pull this on flat sandy ground? Thx

Maybe

If you have decent loaded tires and no huge hills you will be fine. We pull a 11 knife with a 6080 you just need to think. When we had the 7000 on it with empty tires I really had watch the hills.

I'd say it would be no problem. We pull a 30' applicator with an 85 PTO horsepower 2wd New Holland (10,000 lbs, no wheel weights or fluid), and don't have any problems at all. We pulled the same applicator with a 185 for several years, just a little slower. You'll have no problems at all.

Only problem I ever had pulling a nitrogen applicator with the 190 XT is when the Coop thought it was a good idea to put a hydraulically driven pump on it and a Raven controller that needed a closed center hydraulic pump to work correctly.  Otherwise the last rental unit I used from a different Coop was no issue for pulling the unit (had a ground drive pump), the only thing I was concerned about was how much weight it was putting on the hitch since the design was very tongue heavy (so I didn't fill the 1000 gallon tank, just 600-800 gallon).  That unit though was a 16 row with the wing tips folded up to make it a 12 row.

Are they "knifes" or disc openers? Would think that could make a difference??

Most 28% applicators are not hard to pull. The applicators usually has coulters or coulters followed by a knife. The knifes don't run very deep and the applicators themselves might require more hydraulic power than drawbar.
