Raining here. With two feet of snow melting fast, will have flooding by morning, then mud. Rather have cold

I tried to follow the science, but it was not there. I then followed the money, and that’s where I found the science.

Yesterday started off at 3am at 45 degrees raining to beat the band, by 8am was 29 and spitting rain, by 9am was sleeting at 26 degrees and by noon had 1" of compacting sleet/freezing rain then the 'Pretty' started, only got a added inch of that.
Up by Bowling Green MO was recorded at 5" of 'Pretty'. Currently is 10F and clear skies, supposedly headed to 40s by mid day so will see creeks rising.

We started yesterday in the low 50s then rain started we got 1.5" of rain before it dropped to 30 degrees at 9:30 Pm the driveway was ice coated this morning it was 19 degrees and less than a 1" of snow on everything at least we didn't get enough ice to cause power outage. At 3:00 it's 19 degrees and suppose to drop back into the teens tonight and low 20s tomorrow and drop into the teens tomorrow night and be 50 sunday. Hope these rollie coster temps stop and it levels off.

I can remember, in central KS, pitching down silage forks of silage and the cold wind blowing back up (seemingly) more silage than I had thrown down. Now retired, I enjoy the winters here an hour north of Atlanta, GA, but I sure miss the beautiful fields of corn and wheat and the good farmer oriented neighbors. Herb(GA)
