WE HAD OUR 210 FUEL PUMP RE-DONE BY OUR LOCAL DIESEL PLACE(DIESEL EQUIPMENT 48876 GREAT PLACE!).  THE TRACTOR SAT FOR A FEW YEARS WITH A BROKE DRAWBAR BEFORE THAT.  NOW THE SAME TRACTOR WONT PULL THE SAME THINGS IT DID BEFORE. ANY IDEAS?

they probably set it back to stock when rebuilt. Was likely set hotter than you thought, you may have thought it was all stock. there is a chance it is set wrong or to the wrong spec. dyno will tell the story. Is it timed right?

If the setting were altered from previous setting, wouldn't you see the a change in smoke at load from before and after?
should be less smoke I would think

check to make sure the return line from pump, across top of injectors, and back to side of tank is clear. the broken flex ring particles from past problems may be restricting the free flow of fuel out of pump.

Like Ed said above, there is some type of fuel restriction somewhere.  In the past when pulling in the field lack of power always seemed to be injector pump or fuel filters.

Check everything mentioned in the last few posts, but as Ed eludes to, many many many D21 and 220s were factory "tuned" by the dealers to really smoke the competition on demo days.  Our D21 which we are fairly sure has never been touched until we rebuilt the pump last year, has significantly more HP than the book says it does.  Since dad doesn't farm with it anymore, he had the settings put back to stock, and it ain't the same girl she once was.  Our big disk buried to the hubs never used to bother her in 5th with duals on.  Now I don't think I could pull it in 3rd with the stops in. :-(

My 220 sat a couple years before I bought it.  When I first took it to the field it struggled to pull a 16 ft. Harrowgator over 1500-1700 rpm in 4th.  After a few hours it gradually picked up rpms and I shifted to 5th and would pull just fine.  Been running strong ever since.

make sure the fitting/shutoff valve in the bottom of fuel tank is open and not restricted by junk or dirt. you will have to unsrew fitting from tank to see for sure. you would be surprised at what can get packed in there and tractor still run.  p/s i found a piece of a red shop rag in mine, kind of a prefilter lol
