oh no! galled the spider gears? I worry about mine, since I've never been any deeper than the transmission. I do run mine over full on the trans oil.

My 190 did that several years ago. Spider gear broke apart in the differential. Could be a major teardown for you.

Rear wheels have to come off. Axles have to be pressed out after removing the fuel tank and 3 point hitch and lift arm housing. A major job for someone who may not have the equipment to do the work.

Our D21 did the same thing many years ago. We parked it, only moved it as necessary, and started it to keep the oils moving every once in a while, then one day out of the blue it just started working again. I don't know if the problems are related, we always assumed something got into the spiders, that eventually worked its way out. While it has never done any kind of pulling other than itself and light loads, it does get some use now and then, and so far nothing has surfaced again. Now that might be different if we put it back on tillage duty???

I'm crossing my fingers for a fairly simple fix but I'm prepared for a total takedown just feeling pretty defeated right now the old girls going to sit in the shed until I have time to mess with it.
