If there is oil in the brake housing, it has to be coming from the bull pinion seal. If the oil is just coming out of the lower bolt holes, then the bull gear compartment is overfull. If it's an overfull problem, then it is most likely the cap off like Mack says.

Cap that covers end of axel may have came off or axel bolt came out and pushed cap off. Pull lift housing and take a look.      MACK

What about the oil in the housing? this is my biggest concern because from what ive seen the brakes can be worked on without taking much apart, but whats it going to take to fix the oil in the housing?

The disc linings are worn out or no longer riveted in place. It allows the ball between the discs to roll out of it's pocket and wedge.

Bought a 1974 200 off my uncle. Having an issue with the brakes. It doesn't have any until you get to a certain point, and then one side will lock (PD Side for reference) and has to be put in reverse to unlock. It is serial number 200-6246, so my understanding according to my I&T manual is that it has the upgraded disc brakes. Last night i pulled the bottom bolts out the housings to start working on them, and the step side brakes started pouring out oil. the PD side did not have oil come out. What am I looking at for a repair here? The original plan was just to take it apart and hopefully find the springs and ball bearings need replaced, but now I assume theres a seal out. Supposedly it has had the brakes redone at some point in the last few years, and hasn't done much work probably since. I have just not been using the brakes while moving it around. It has a cab on it btw. any knowledge you have please share, never done anything like this.
