Im in NE Ohio and bought a 7040 a few years back from Northside salvage... Motor Rebuild new rubber all around, new paint then and inside rear wheel weights... Anyhow long story short weve downsized and she is a bit too big... rebuilt motor dont have 500 hours on it (probably around 300) but nephews liked to shut her down and not turn off battery switch...    It has,had clutches bolts upgraded by local AGCO shop the year I,got it... Its probanly plowed 150 Acres max and done some round baling... Anyway WHATS IT WORTH I paid 10 but know its not worth what you pay for wm ever... Im looking to grab an D17 or 19 gasser (already rebuilt) but have no idea of market value and dont want to be out of line in pricing...

This has been my experience, and only mine.  With the current corn market, in great shape, it may fetch between 6 and 8.  In average shape, between 4 and 6, and if it looks like heck, and has broken parts, then 1.5-3.  Rear tire condition plays a huge roll in which end of the ranges you are on.

Now flame away.

No flames.$6500 & $8900 . Last two 7040's I looked at in that area.

Recently, I've seen several 7040 listed on craigslist from 8-12K, so 10K may not be too far out of line?  You could list it at 10K with obo (or best offer). Easier to come down then go up on price.
Rebuilt engine by Northside - big plus!
It's Power Shift transmission is a nice option.
New rubber, rear tire size?
Rear inside wheel weights.
new paint.

More info may help??
Guessing Northside replaced Fuel injection pump during rebuild?
AC & heat both work?
540/1000 pto or 1000 pto??
Rear rims Power Shift or non Power Shift??
Total hours on tractor?
Two or Three hydraulic valves??
Front weights & weight bracket??
Cab kit, seat re-Uphostered?
Does it have original chin busting maroon cab steps or nicer black belly steps??
Grill, panels, & doors in good shape??
Been shedded?

Not mine, but I noticed that another 7040 is listed on this forum's classifieds section.

4 hydraulic outlets..... does that mean you have 2 remotes or 4? I'm guessing you have 2 remotes. When I price things I price them according to how bad I want or need to sell them. Without seeing pics I'd say you are in the $6,000 to $8,000 range but if it looks super sweet then you could push $10,000. In my specific area it would be considerably lower as our dealers are disappearing. Back in about 2011 or 2012 I watched a super clean and slick 7040 sell for $14,000 or $14,500 in my area on a sale but all his equipment was immaculate (that helps convince people it was taken care of) and corn was in the $6 to $8 range.

That's a nice one. If it were mine it would be tough to sell.
