I have a 67 190xt and after sitting for awhile the tractor will start up but after about a couple minutes it stops acting like its not getting any fuel I am really hoping its not the injector pump because of the cost unless someone rebuilds them for cheaper, this tractor had not been used for several years until last year could the sediment bowels be built up with junk over the years and try to empty them out and see if there is fuel flow and see if there is fuel anything else? Is there a way to see if the injector pump is bad?

You answered your own question,,,,? sounds like its gonna be a big job,- start at the fuel tank and get good flow to the pump - then worry about the injector pump

My 220 likes to drain back to tank over months setting. Run the primer before start and all is well. Otherwise, it fires up for a few seconds and dies. Might be that simple. I've had no luck during it so I just prime it.

It is getting air in fuel line from some where. Could have debree in check valves of primer pump, allowing fuel to drain back. If settlement Bowles are full, could e causing a vacuum in fuel line. Don't think it is a pump problem. MACK

Whenever you remove the glass bowl and turn on the petcock fully, there should be TWO streams of fuel gushing from the sediment bowl base. Anything less than TWO streams of fuel means there is crap plugging the base inlet and it needs to be removed and air cleaned. Throw away the screens.

Mine had gradually become hard to start, cranked what seemed to be fast enough, and would crank for a long time, some smoke while cranking but not a lot. Ended up putting a set of batteries in to replace the 5 year old ones and it starts like new. I suspected transfer pump in the Roosa Master or just too low compression. Those two things may still be true but the batteries got me going for now.
