Hi folks,
What is the value of a 1961 AC D15 Industrial gasser series 1 with and with no backhoe? Mine doesn’t have one, and I’m actually wondering if it’s worth trying to get one. If I get lucky enough to find one, chances are it’ll be a grand to buy. Everything works and it’s going to be painted, but I’m not going to do a “showroom restoration”.

There enough variables in the answer to your question that it's hard to give $$ numbers. Your local market has a lot to do value and price. If your tractor would be here where I live it would range from 2k to 5k. With a good hoe, no leaks, no bad cylinders, everything working on the tractor - $6500. Of course new paint speaks volumes to the buyer. To get more money you would need convincing evidence such as receipts for how much has been spent and perhaps an attractive ownership/service history.Wink

YES: Pretty paint does blind many from the REAL problems a tractor may have. I would rather look at anything in original, or AS found condition.
If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY

Thanks for the tip! I only bought the thing to help finish the dirt work on my back yard, which I plan to do next spring. So there won’t be a long ownership history :). Everything works great, since I inframed the engine. No hoe, but if I could get 3-4K out of it, I’d be a happy camper!
