Could someone please tell me the diameter of the hose that runs from the air filter stack to the caburetor on a wd45?  I was hoping to grab a hose at Napa on my way home from work today and put it on this weekend, but of course I forgot to check this morning on the way out the door.

Thanx,
Gerald

Personally I would get one from AGCO.  The rad hoses from NAPA do not hold up well from gas.  The AGCO hoses are better made to withstand any gas leaking from the carb.

1 7/8" if I remember right.
The AGCO one might be cheaper

Hey Dave,

I clicked on your link for steam threshers, neat stuff!  Last weekend I picked up a cast iron box that has "clean your boiler tubes daily" on the lid and "grease your gearing" cast on the inside of the lid.  I believe it is off of a Russell steam tractor.  Any idea what the original color was?  I would like to clean it up and restore it...

Best regards,
Gerald

Thank you Charlie for your response!  I'll do some price comparison,  between AGCO and a NAPA cut to length hose.

Best regards,
Gerald

Thanks. I'm not sure about the box, but I would guess black or red.

Dayco B71598 should make two of the hoses you need. I was going to do that, but no parts stores near me had it in stock and I needed to get the old girl rolling. If I remember right it was like $18.

it also depends on which carburetor you have.
the Zenith carb has a smaller throat than the MS.
Raised on a CA,WD,D10 & D15.

Now, proudly own and pull a WD45 high crop, WD45, WC,
also own a D-10, D-12, G and a CA.
