Please help. What do I need to convert from magneto to distributor ignition? I see the entire unit from a 45 or d17 that can be used, but I also see a bolt on with a "drive adapter". Which is it, or can it be both? Does any one have one or the other that I can buy? Help much appreciated, thanks, Trev.

I just helped a guy last month do a complete swap on a B. There was more to it than he originally thought. Most people forget about the oil lines and fittings to make it happen. Even the Governor cover had to be changed to go from a straight fitting to the tee fitting to allow lube to the distributor gear.
Going to the Delco distributor is an easier mod because it bolts to the mag drive thus uses the mag governor. I personally like that distributor better plus all the parts are automotive.
I'm sure Steve can do either one.

Thanks to everyone who replied, I think i get it n ow. The simpler the better, I've always had good luck with Delco distributors. I'll use a Pertronix on it on 12 volt, as I have several others and they work great, really bring an old engine alive. I'll get a hold of Steve. I gotta figure out how to post pics of "Sweet Allis", Trev.
