 Topic: 190XT Remote Hydraulic Hose

Remote hydraulic hose is busted. Trying to replace, but having a darn hard time getting to the hose. It appears to be rubber hose at the rear and steel under the platform up to the valve stack. Does anyone have any helpful hints on what I need to remove to be able to get this hose out and back in? Any help greatly appreciated.

You have my sympathies. I know how tight it is under the platform. That's why I removed the entire platform when I restored the tractor. Doesn't make sense for you to go through that much trouble.
However, some people here have said that it is possible to unbolt and lift up the platform somehow to give you some room to get under there. Hopefully they will chime in.

Remove seat assembly, unscrew two bolts on platform just behind seat, unhook PD linkage and shaft out from housing, hook lift to back of platform and raise it up. MACK

You may need to unbolt the hood at the back and remove the 2 bolts for the platform at the front that go into the torque tube. Someone had not done this on my 190XT and had broken the front bolts.

The two bolts get broken from platform flopping around on rough ground or not being tight enough. Especially with a cab. MACK

Thanks to all your guy's help, I got the hose off this morning, took them both off as the other one looked like it could give out at any day. Another question: now that I got the hose off, can they recouple a new rubber section onto the steel portion or am I going to have to try to order and bend a new line? Thanks again for all the help, Jared

There is a hose end that has a nut/ferrell on it to slide onto your steel tube. The answer is yes. The steel tube might be an inch shorter, but I don't think that will bother.

If you take your original line in they should be able to. The local JD dealer here can they use as wedge end that fits your line and the machine presses it back on the original hard line. My lines were real easy to get to when I had the gas tank removed. If you don't have a cab tank removals is prey easy with a cab it was quite a bit harder.

Just wanted to thank you all again for all the help. I did lift the platform like you all said. I wouldn't have had so much trouble, but someone had hose clamped the steel lines together in a couple of places, so I had to get access to the clamps before I could remove the lines. While I was in there I went ahead and removed all 4 lines and had the rubber portion replaced. $127 I think was the total. Appreciate all the help.
