Had some time this morning so I cleaned up the fuel sediment bowl and fuel lines and got it fired up again. It lopes a little at low rpm, but pulls good...probably needs a fuel filter after seeing all the crap in the sediment bowl. Added 2 1/2 gallons of hydraulic fluid and the power director works fine now. Think I will wait awhile to decide whether or not to knock her in the head....

May be bad mouthed for this but put some diesel kleene in the tank and run it and it may help your problem.  Have even taken the fuel filter off and poured some into the filter, run it long enough to get to the pump and then leave it sit for awhile.  I would put more in the tank than what it calls for but it seems like you are willing to spend a little time so it maybe worth a try.

You should see the wreck we are going to keep alive, I can pretty well guarantee yours is in better shape. :)
Gleaner: the properly engineered and built combine.

If you need parts for your Gleaner, we are parting out A's through L2's, so we may be able to help.
