Hello I currently have a 190 XT with 18.4-34 tires that need replaced. Rather then replacing with same size I am asking is there an easy way to go with the 18.4-38 rims and tires. I've heard or been told this could be done but I cannot find out or learn how it is completed. I want to keep the current hubs that I have, I just want to change rims and tire size. Thanks

Two ways, if you don't need Power-Adjust wheels. One is called "step-up lugs" that are taller cast pieces to connect your 34" hub to a standard 38" rim. Another is called "drop-center" rim that the center is 34" to work with your hub and cast pieces, but outside is 38" to hold a 38" tire.
If you want to have power adjust wheels you will need to change to 38" cast centers. Step-up rim from Unverferth: ![]() Edited by Russ-neia - 17 Feb 2012 at 1:31pm |

I have 38" centers off of a D19 that I would sell...not sure if they would fit your 190.

I don't mean to step on his thread but can you use the step up lugs on 38's and be able to put 42's on? I would think you could but I've never heard of anybody having the longer lugs for sale.

KGood, Yes, you can use the step up lugs for 38" to 42" also. They are available from any Brent/Unverferth dealer or most farm tire places can get them.

I swapped my centers and rims for a set of 38"s at a salvage yard.

I have a 190 that origionaly had 34 inch wheels. It has an adapter plate and loop type 38 in wheels.
A 200 wheel center will fit also.

Hello again.
I wanted to say thanks to everyone that replied to my question concerning the 34 inch tire to a 38 inch tire for my 190 XT. I will be checking at salvage yards first and hope I have some luck.
Thanks again!
