I just picked up a 190XT and the hydraulics are slow. Pressure at the remote is 900-1000psi. There is proper oil, new filter, pickup sump is clean, and there is no strainer in the pump intake line. I am ready to get into the pump unless there is something else I should check first.

But, you don't KNOW if the relief valve is the problem, or the pump. Swap the Traction Booster relief valve cartridge and the main relief cartridge and see if the problem stays the same or not. A hydraulic flow-rater is the sure diagnostic tool to be using.

Thanks Dr, it's working enough to run the mower but when I'm done with hay I will look into the relief valve. I have a parts tractor that had good hydraulics that I can pull the relief valve off and try.
