engine runs for 2 to 5 seconds and then shuts down. Cleaned the fuel lines, new filter and there is fuel to the pump. any suggestions?

On the very top of the injection pump is a fitting that is threaded into the top cover. Remove whatever it takes to get this fitting removed. Take this fitting to a bench grinder and gently grind on the threaded end to loosen the crimp that retains the flat washer in the end of the fitting. Pry the flat washer out and throw it away. Also remove the glass ball and spring and clean out the innards of the fitting and make it clean. Re-install the fitting. If it now runs OK, the pump will eventually need to be overhauled.

Thanks, I think that worked, at least for now. I only use it about 20 hours a year so the pump should last a couple more years I would guess. Should just get rid of it!
