Hello Guys,
I've been busy and haven't been on for a long time, but everything is good.

I'm finally giving my 185 Diesel some overdue TLC. The pump is off and sitting at Ed's shop for a rebuild.

The valve cover has been leaking pretty badly so I'm fixing that too. A few years ago, someone was talking about upgrading the 180-185-190 valve cover bolts to a style off the newer tractors that had an internal spring to hold the right tension. I forgot now but I'm guessing it was of A 7000.

I looked up the 7000 parts book and I think bolt 74036972and washer/spring 74036973 is what I need.

Can anyone confirm this is correct and is this actually worth switching too?
I'm sure there's a different torque spec or something I should be using when installing the new style.

Yes, the bolts and spring washers will work, but regular bolts will also if proper glue and properly torqued .       1/4x3/4.            MACK
