I still never cease to marvel at the RICH BLACK EARTH you have.  In Maryland in my area we have red clay rocky soil.  How fortunate.  No wonder we have such outstanding crop production in the USA.  Also, I also marvel at the size of the plows and equipment that was produced after we stopped selling (1962).  The biggest tractor I sold was a 52 hp D-17.  A "Hoss" in it's time but now so sadly under powered by today's standards.  The plows I sold - 52 and 60 series could not hold a candle to the one in the picture.
I still remember walking with my Grandfather cultivating with a horse drawn one row cultivator.  How far we have come.
Thanks for sharing.
Good Luck!

I have been watching the pictures posted of the plowing saying to myself that if they had a good 185 and a set of semi mounted 4 bottoms, that would be the set up! We still have ours though they don’t get used much anymore. Really enjoying the pictures! Looks like it was a lot of fun!

We seldom raise grain so never tried plowing wheat stubble with a 185.  We did try it in corn stalks one year, it worked a lot better pulling a 3-18 Monoframe plow.   It could have used a small turbo.

Those bigger newer AC's with the open station look very comfortable!! All mine are older models. I agree with Bill, being from so va, red clay capitol, every time I see that black dirt I am amazed!! I wonder if it requires less lime & fertilizer than red clay. Nice pics

Looks nice. Plow seems to be not quite level though...appears to lean to the right and lower on the front than the rear. But this is pretty common at shows. Really nice overall. I only bring up the plow adjustments because if Allis people go to plow days with other brands I want the AC plow job to be the best. I once saw a D19 at a plow day where to plow was so out of adjustment that the tractor couldn't pull the plow. Not a good demonstration.
