I,m new to this forum but here is my problem, I have a 185 crop hustler that won,'t charge the batteries I had the alternator rebuilt but no luck, I am also having to replace my starter solenoid every year if not twice a year. She is a cold blooded beast to start it has to be very warm or plugged in, but right now I can't get it started because I need another solenoid, the only place around me who sold AC parts was bought out and the new place doesn't stock AC stuff. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated thank you.

Take the solenoid off and bring it to NAPA or a good auto parts store to cross something that will work. No need to chase AGCO around the country trying to find a part they don't want to keep in stock.
With the charging system, start with a good diagram of the system. If the alternator is self regulating, it should be fairly simple to find what's not right. |

If it still has the regulator under the hood , check all the terminal connections , sometimes they work loose

My 180 has the same regulator, they do go bad and I had to replace mine a few years back. Check the injection pump return fitting for debris if it is getting hard to start, good indication the pump is headed south and due for reman.
