One of the 180's has the sediment bowl and shutoff under the tank. I decided it was time to move it for outside access. I am going to replace the spin on fuel filter with the glass filter. Any need to keep the sediment bowl other than to make use of the shut off? Thanks...Dale

It is difficult to reach. Requires removing a small side panel on the right side to get to it. The sediment bowl is functional, though. My 185 had sat for about 6 years before I bought it. I was able to drain some sediment from the bottom of the tank. Kept it from going into the fuel filters.

My One-seventy is the same way and is a PITA to get to. I always like to shut off the gas if it sits for more than a couple of days so I installed a shut off just before the carburetor to keep my cussing at a minimum.
