The correct canopy uprights go thru a slot in the fender and are attached to the final drive at the 3 points that the fenders are using longer bolts. The bottom of the forked uprights are bolted to a cradle that bolts under the transmission. Will see if I have a pic on file.

They make a good shade to set under but are a real b@#$% To work on transmission  and brakes.     MACk

The later owners manuals have pictures, drawings, instructions, everything you need to know about installing the ROPS.
