I use Havoline 10W40 in the engine, and a good hydraulic oil that is compatible with the AGCO Power Fluid 821 oil.  Most stores have an oil that meets the spec.  I use that in both the Transmission and the hydraulic system.

What is the serial number of your 175?
Missouri Allis-Chalmers Club
CA Allis, 175 Allis, 185 Allis

BV If you have a 175 gas with the original engine know this, you have a special tractor as the 175 was the last tractor AC put gas engines in.  Most 175's were sold diesel and not many gas engine 175's were sold.

X2 on the Rotella 15-40, run it in everything gas or diesel. Even been using it in the B&S 16 Twin in the A-C 816 garden tractors for years with no issues.
Catch it on sale at Wally World in the 2 or 2-1/2 gallon jugs.
