Can someone help me find an exhaust manifold for my 170?? It has the Perkins 4.236 engine. I have looked everywhere and no one has one. All i can find are ones for a Massey Ferguson. I need the manifold and the elbow. The elbow cracked and when it came off it pulled one of the bolts right out of the manifold. I really don't want to brais it as i know it will just break. If one can not be found, can i just have a header made for it without hurting the engine?

They do use the same except the elbow bolts on differently. If they will work i can make the elbow and just redo all the exhaust. If someone knows the exact one i need to order and where to get it would really help. This is my main tractor and im stuck without it.

Here is a picture of the damaged manifold. After doing alot of looking, I'm not sure if Massey has one that will fit.

If your bolt holes are good, try this. Make a plate to bolt to manifold. Weld a elbow or fitting to plate to bolt muffler to. This should fix your problem.HTH Tracy Martin

Tracy thanks for the tip. The hole that you can see it torn out and i don't know if i can even get the other two out. The top one on the other side was brais around it so i'm afraid of what i will find. Will that be an issue with holding the muffler up? I know its a big muffler and i might have to make some type of support to hold it a little.

Well thanks the guys at Marshall Machinery for finding me the replacemnts that i needed. Cost a pretty penny for used parts but they got them. After this whole ordeal i have decieded that red is the way to go and once this thing is fixed, down the road it goes.
