I bought a D15 Series II years ago, and supposedly it didn't need much (I bought it as a part machine.)  Pulled the head and it was FULL of rust.  So I just set it aside to part out.  6 years later it's still sitting there untouched.
SO last night somone offer a D15 engine running and cheap.  But after looking at the valve cover, it's a 149.  I realize it's a bit sinfull to put a 149 in a seriesII, but have the tractor up and running would be helpfull and at least I could test out all the accessories before I sell them.

Any words of caution to start the swap?  Should be a pretty direct swap shouldn't it.

Use the carb off of the G-160 engine and the air hose will fit. Radiator hoses from the G-160 should be the same I think. Should be a drop-in swap.....

I'm sure there's more than one WD45 with a WD engine in it roaming around out there. I always hate to see an otherwise good tractor knocked in the head because the exact correct part/assembly isn't available.
