I found a matching set of used tires, 11.2-24. I was thinking about getting them for the B. It only has 8in rims. I think they will probably go on, but it might not be a good idea. Will it be ok?

I'm sure it's been done before. Go for it. How many WD's had wider tires stuck on a 10 inch rim?? THOUSANDS of them.

The beads are narrower than the maximum width of the modern tire which is the width specification. Go hunting for an Ag tire handbook and it will have a chart of approved rims for tractor tires.

When I was a kid almost every WD had to wide a tire on the stock rims. the only ones that showed was the tractors that saw a lot of road miles. they would wear out in the center since the tread didn't lay flat like it should.  Id put them on and run them. they will fit just the tread wont lay flat. your not gonna be doing and high speed driving with a B. I had 11.2s on my C for 32 years without a problem. it had 9" rims.
