If it is a snap-coupler disk and your tractor's traction booster works, it should be perfect pair.

I have a wide front WD 45 with loaded tires (16's) and our soil is all sand.I actually think the old girl pulls my 10 foot disc better than my D17.Both traction booster systems work.

My 180 and I get along with a 12' Massey 500 wheel disc, tank of a implement on 10" Disc Plates, cuts like no tomorrow and makes the old 180 pull down hard.

Here's video of my NFE 45 pulling a 14" IH disc in the garden. 2nd gear in the garden, dirt is really mellow. If I take it out in cornstalks, 3rd gear works great.

10ft behind a 45 should be a breeze.

I've got a 9' #109 SC mounted disc that I pull with my WD-45. It doesn't even know anything is behind it. You should have no problems with a 10' wheel disc.

WD45 should handle 10' tandem disc. Tractor will need good tires.
Farmall M & AC D17 pulled a JD RWA 12.5' W18" blades no problem in plowed grd. Duals would been nice to keep tire tracks down.

I pull a 13’ Allis disk with one tire filled, the other one leaked most all out.
Pulled it in plowed ground with the traction booster disengaged without a problem. |

The how much disc can I pull with XYZ tractor, always make me shack my head. There are so many variations of disc's. Maybe there is someone on here that could list 75% of the models AC made. Then move out the other major brands, then all the short line companies.
I have a very similar disc to the one pictured below ( 8 blade 12 inch spacing) (hopefully my copy and paste is viewable) that I am not sure if if any AC 2 wheel drive until the 7000 series would really handle. It took 70 hp crawler to really handle it ( HD 9 AC ). I also have a very lite finish disc 16 foot a 40 hp 2 wheel drive handle fine. Just saying without weight per foot and blade size not much is more than a guess. As there are discs and then there DISCS.

My brain woke up, AC built bigger than 190 before they had the 7000 series. I guess there was a 200 that one neighbor had but a Miller 12 wheel disc was all it wanted. So I was wrong again.

Just wondering if anyone on here ever had dual wheels on their WD-45. We had an 8 ft. disk that seemed like enough load for the 45 and always could see the rear tractor wheel tracks behind the disk till Dad got a set of duals on it. Much easier load after that and no wheel tracks. I think I was about 8-9 years old and went with Dad to Tractor Supply to get the rims and clamps.

I have duals on my D17 and pull a 12’ John Deere disk. Makes for lighter ground pressure hence the disk cuts in better and doesn’t leave wheel tracks, also makes for a lot smoother of a ride on rough ground. Edited by Travis2766 - 10 Jan 2025 at 6:38pm |

I have a set of dual on my WD45. My uncle used them back in the70's and 80's to break open his muck fields. Same tractor, different duals.

I have a pair of clamp-on duals I built for the 45's but have never mounted them to a tractor. They would fit either of the 17's now too. Maybe someday????
