I have one of those common quick disconnect OR clutches you see everywhere (Amazon reliable parts, tsc.), etc. They're all the same design with no bearing support on the clutch section. Mine will not release the ratchet stops if there is the slightest side pressure. Light hand pressure locks it and stops it from ratcheting...it's questionable whether the weight of a pto shaft would stop it from ratcheting...I'm wondering if anybody has used one of the weaslers. It seems to have a different design. And if it behaves better with light to moderate side force???

I have one of the bigger quick connect ones. I thnk it was rated for 70HP or something.
You're correct that it is a little wiggly, but it always ratchets just fine when I slow down. I've used it 3-4 years now. |
