Is there any way to bench test the 71313444 magnetic pickup sensor to see if it is good?

I believe that they are nothing more than just a coil of finely wound wire. It should have a specific ohm amount when checked with a meter. You can compare the reading with a known good one or even swap it to a different function to see if it works.
