Tractor was running and plowing fine. Governor was working fine. Than it just quit. Runs a lil over idle. Governor weights and linkages are fine. Spring isnt broke. Sheared pins is all i can think of. Its out of warranty! Lol

While I can’t answer your question, the warranty comment made me laugh. 6 or 7 years ago my uncle was mad there was no warranty coverage when the rear spindle snapped off the M3

normally the governor problem causes a RUN A WAY speed.... If its stuck at idle, i would look at the throttle to governor arm, to cross rod, to carburetor linkage and see what is STUCK or fell apart.. ... Push the throttle arm FULL FORWARD, then look at the arm on the carburetor... it should be a full stroke away from the STOP screw..
if the carburetor rod is FULL STROKE, then the throttle plate fell off in the carburetor, or the choke plate fell off or the main jet is 90% plugged.... etc. Edited by steve(ill) - 46 minutes ago at 3:50pm |
