changed 301 to 301, what to watch for in changing 426 to 301. will hoses reach, change top hood, electric should be same, radiator, both are power director

in the process of looking for another tractor to get going again, a young man contacted me about a 7020. i have contacted him back but  he is avoiding me somewhat. wants me to send or wire money to him. i know a lot of people get scammed on either of the business deal. told him to deliver and i would give cash real greenbacks instead of my usual written check. if it is a scam who do i report it to, if  it is not do i still report it because i feel uneasy about it. the only other option about it is, he has something and has priced way below 1/2 of market value. thanks.
