What are you all using as replacements for autolite 405s? Now that they are nla.

Is that not an old style plug that was built to Imperial measurements? So 3/4" reach and 13/16" hex. What thread was it?

To answer my own question the thread size is metric - 14 x 1.25. I did not know that even tho I've installed hundreds of them. But I think the hex was not metric????

190xt is what I am trying to tune up, but I think that was the plug allis used in all gas engines from d17 and newer.

My Norton motorcycles use the N 5 Champion as well as other Mfg in that range , but over time I just use the N 5 -
A while back a local discounter liquidator had some plugs - Champion lawn and garden - Looked up heat range and other specs = was a N5 - bought 30 plugs at 25 cents each
Now running them in my Moto-Guzzy as well
Somehow the idea a spark plug is now a $6 to $9 cost item - ????
