Hello, yesterday I noticed that although the tractor was in gear—and correctly set to the high range—it wouldn't move forward when I released the clutch. After a short wait, it finally engaged (the gearbox did grind when shifting into gear, so I don't suspect the clutch is the issue).
Furthermore, I notice this happening primarily when the tractor is positioned on a downward slope (nose pointing down); on one occasion, the hydraulic high-low even shifted into the low range on its own while driving downhill. Could this be caused by low oil levels in the "power director" (transmission/range unit), or is there another underlying cause? During normal operation, I don't notice any issues, and the tractor has its usual power. Thanks! |
