The thing that gets me is the sign. An ALLIS-CHALMERS can and will beat a John Deere any day. This raises the question, why get an ALLIS-CHALMERS if you are a John Deere fan?? I guess that is the only way he could get a dependable and cheap to maintain green tractor. Do you know what this calls for?? Just imagine him as the cat and us as the dog. LOL

Wouldn't bet the farm on it but the red one at Rantoul came about at a tractor pull. He and a friend were in competition and the bet was whichever one wins, the loser had to paint his tractor in the winners colors.

I really like all brands. I see them all as history and not competition. Sure I love my Farmall, My deere and my allis but they're all history to me. I do have to say though that painting tractors the wrong brand colors isn't right. they're good for talk but that's about it.

Back around 1986 Woods have a C Allis at AG Progress Days with a new woods mower under it .The tractor was painted D/A green.
