So I took my white 2-70 up to the old place to raise my new digger that's all folded out. I hooked up all the lines everything was ready. I made sure the hoses were hooked right. I pulled the first hydraulic and the center went up. Perfect I thought. I pulled the next hydraulic and the wing rams started going in untill they got a little wieght on them and then everything stopped. Grr not so perfect. Let everything down check hoses and they were right. Swap hoses from side to side and now wings go up but when I go lift the center same thing. Get a little wieght and everything stops. I tried both tries with the rpms up to about 900. Even though I won't be using this tractor to dig it would be nice to know why one hydraulic will lift and not the other.

My 1800 oliver needed to be running about 1800 rpm to lift most heavy stuff, even with the new pump.

Are you using the tractor controls directly to control it or are you going thru another valve?

I'm going just off the controlls in the cab. I've added nothing new or exotic. I don't think it's the hydric pump that's bad because it will lift either operation from the one side. But like I say that one side just seems to give up when it gets a little wieght on the cylinder.
I'll do as Mack suggests and put new couples on the one side. I can't believe it could be that simply. I feel silly |

Hopefully its the coupler but I suspect you're going to find its something like a blown
O Ring in the valve. On one of my Oliver 1550 tractors the remote is weak on the left side. Rather than tear into the hydraulic unit you could always add remotes thru the Power Beyond and then you have extra remotes for other things. |

So the trouble follows the tractor control, not the hoses, since you swap them and the other section lifts.
Is there an adjustment on the tractor flow per remote? |

Is the first valve returning to center? Check linkage on the levers? Maybe one locked in detent? Good luck, Scott
