this it ???

pretty but NO pictures of 'underneath'... like frame, wheel wells, diffs, etc.
little things like ..does the parking brake work ? if not, can't get tag up here !
85xxxmiles is nice but unless you've got a USE for it, at $11K+ it's a very pricey driveway sitter.

"85,380 Miles Showing, Title Will Be Marked Miles Exempt,", I'd be real curious why
I am still confident of this;
I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.

Lou, that's probably to specifically  keep them from being sued when someone figures out the odometer was 'turned back'.
In the good ol' dayze , you could use a drill in reverse to turn back the odometer. Today you just access the 'puter' and put in whatever mileage you want....

Have been doing my own searches to replace my 99SD Ford with a 7.3 that is growing cancer and is tired at 340,000 miles.  Time to step forward NOT back for me, looking most likely to a duramax in a GMC or a Ford with a Gas Engine, IF stay with a lighter duty, just wringing out the nasty ones as the attrition rates chalk up.  Dodge is done, rode in one of the 'New and Improved' stiff back frames, drove like crap, drove semi's and straight trucks with heavier suspension that rode better, handled easier.

Every few weeks load up the used 2012-2018 (soon going 19) trucks, too low miles and likely a barn queen(failure prone) or used lot odometer change(hidden issues), sticking to decent dealerships that are willing to add a one year limited warranty at least on powertrain.  Have narrowed searches down to a series of three light trucks and possibly jumping to a class 6 or 7 trailer toter to pull Goose or bumper equip. trailers, or a livestock goose or a RV fifth wheel or goose hitch.  At some point I am going to retire from excess hard work where will want to tour the nation, not going to accomplish that if the machine will not take it.

As much as I hate Dodge!  A friend bought a single wheel one ton dodge and surprisingly it rides okay.  It has the diesel.  He wanted the one wheel model cause unlike a dual, he can take it thru a car wash.  He pulls a large 5th wheel camper back and forth between MI and FL.

Seems like a lot but pricing newer ones with 3 times the miles and 3 times the price makes it not seem too bad to me. Looks adult owned and not kid ruined.

It would be much higher out here.

WinkAge of the truck has never been a real concern to me. Confused But with more gadgets and gismows it has become something you have tp worry about.

Any diesel truck out that has no BIG dents and runs it seems they ask $10,000. Anything less than 200,000 miles that looks good is $20,000 on up year dosn't seem to matter.

Wink Rust is generally not a problem unless somebody is up to shenanigans LOL but of course some do have a salt water lake with 1000's of miles of beach. Parking to near the  big water body can cause trouble, but starts on top don't have to look under it.LOL

Local dealer has a dually Dodge, if I remember it is a 2014 with 614000 miles, still wants $21000, looks good  but doesn't say anything about any work done to it.

that's the nicest 1991 dodge that you'll ever see.  mileage won't stand because of age but i believe the mileage is correct.   that unit wasn't used hard and is really nice!  the price on it now will never buy it!  what do u suppose it'd cost to replace it with a new one? 80k?

A 1991 model year, probably manufactured sometime in 1990, that makes it 20+ years old. Some states exempt the odometer when a vehicle is over a certain age.
I tried to follow the science, but it was not there. I then followed the money, and that’s where I found the science.

Yes actually 30 years old but still so nice for it’s age and not all the garb of the new ones.

I’ve seen auctions exempt odometer reading too, same as tractors and hours. Says this, but not attesting to it on title, no responsibility to auction company.

yeah...no auction co around here will guarentee miles/hours on anything. i saw a vehicle with less than 5,000 miles on it and they exempted it too...(was a repo) i'm sure it's a liability thing too. and yes it's almost 30 years old...i've got alot of vehicles older than that, but i know what they can still do too. i really want a dually to pull my fifth wheel camper with. i currently use a Chevy 2500 single wheel, and even tho it pulls it, and no lack of power, i can still feel a little itty bitty wiggle while towing...just makes me feel uneasy. i'll wait...i'm sure i'll find something a little newer. would rather have the 4 door cab too. i could use my big boy pickup, but would hafta do away with the lift kit and other things to tow with. i'll watch it...who knows...i might surprise myself!

i did look at a new 4 door Chev dually chassis cab the other day, that sucker had 2 gas tanks on it (was a gasser 2020 model) and held over 100 gallons of gas. whew! i'm thinking that is a sign? i also looked at another chassis cab dually Chev diesel. MSRP was $55,000 and change. it didn't have much of anything on it for power, cept prolly steering. it was also a single cab,

I would pay 11000 for that truck much sooner than a newer 2005 with 250000 miles on it.
I’m not even a Dodge guy but I think that truck is a dandy

Wink The way all the "swampies" from DC  are giving away money(that is not printed yet)LOL for sitting at. home.Confused Inflation could take off like rocket. A old rusted out truck that will drive might just be better than cash. We are getting to where lots of voters where not around back in the 80's,Confused don't comprehend double digit inflation. Cry

My billionaire neighbor has been on a buying spree again, Cry I am about surrounded. But a mid level flunky came by to see if would do tractor work. As they have no plans to remove dying walnuts as the wine grape market is in the toilet. Since they farm 100,000 acres of almonds and pistachios they need to have all tier 4 clean air tractors. Wink  Not any new Cats for farming on rock pile cliffs being made to day. Wink Yes they want to be a bigger player in the wine business but for now just a place to park money where it will survive a melt down.

Have you priced a new pickup lately? My new company truck is a 2020 Ram 2500 Laramie 4x4 with air ride and the goose-neck prep package and the sticker on that thing was over $68K. Shocked

SD,
Just buy it! You cant buy a four wheeler for that money! Think of the fun you would have with it! Keep bidding!
Yes a new one would be $60 to $80K.

I got the foggy memory complex.  Confused

And i guess times have changed, but i am totally amazed at the prices guys throw around for pickups.  Course i am kinda practical on whistles and frills.

As i fogily recall, I ordered a 2012 crew cab F250 XLT 2WD 6.2 gas with an additional 1K of stuff I needed hung on.  Think it was 36K and change out the door.  It is stil yanking my 10K fifth wheel across the Smokies.

think it's about even, i know a few folks that lease their vehicles...beat the crap outta them...then turn them back in. i'll prolly never buy a brand new one, taxes and license on them is way out of line. i'll let someone else pay that. i know what i want, i just gotta find it! i looked 2 years for my big boy pickup...and i found it...exactly what i wanted!

Well can offer this, buddy of mine is delivering a dead Chevy c65 so I can re-patch the BILs Chevy 70 dump truck, he also had a bonus for me as to trading up on my GMC grain truck
This:

Is a project started by another that he has owned (Shedded) for around four years.  A Fresh overhauled BC 290 Cummins sitting in it, with a 5x4 trans set up, Single Axle but in a good place for me to continue.  Two 8'x8'x3' crates of parts/pieces and the remaining loose body parts.  As well NEW tires all around but over five years unused.
1963 Autocar DC series.  Should be a interesting Winter!!

The crane on it is NOT included.

BTW, goes back to my oft used adage, If does not run paint it Red(Note colors), if still does not run Chrome it!!  Well On the Way!!!
